Staying at Chelsea could cost Terry £17m, Sunday People say
A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…
Inevitably, speculation continues over John Terry’s future after he was offered a deal to stay at Chelsea.
Terry could lose out on a potential £17m payday if he opts to remain at Stamford Bridge, according to the Sunday People.
It is claimed that the Blues are offering Terry a deal worth around £3m and that Chinese Super League clubs are prepared to pay the former England captain £20m.
Terry, 35, is said to have told friends he believes he could easily double the £10m salary former team-mate Ramires is being paid after leaving Chelsea for Chinese side Jiangsu Suning last year.
Meanwhile, the Sunday Express declare that Chelsea are among the clubs ‘rocked’ by the Daily Star recently claiming that Leicester want Alvaro Morata.
The striker joined Juventus from Real Madrid in 2014 and there are reports that Real will activate a clause enabling them to buy him back this summer and then plan to sell him to the highest bidder.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United have been linked with him as well, so have apparently also been ‘rocked’.
