Transfer gossip: QPR linked with Johnstone, McManaman and Oviedo
A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving QPR…
QPR want to sign goalkeeper Sam Johnstone from Manchester United for £1m, The Sun claim.
The 22-year-old, who is currently on loan at Preston, is said to have been lined up as a replacement for Rob Green.
Rangers are looking to sign West Bromwich Albion winger Callum McManaman, according to the Sunday Telegraph.
Bournemouth and Middlesbrough are also said to be interested in the 24-year-old winger.
All three clubs have apparently been told that any permanent deal for McManaman would cost £7m.
Meanwhile, the Sunday Mirror pick up on the interest being shown in Matt Phillips by Watford, West Brom and Bournemouth, calling it ‘the £8m Premier League scramble’ to sign the QPR winger.
