Rangers and Crystal Palace tipped to compete for Zaha deal
Crystal Palace will compete with QPR for the signing of Wilfried Zaha following Neil Warnock’s return as Eagles boss, the Express say.
Zaha, who left Palace to join United last year, is one of numerous players Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has expressed an interest in.
Palace are keen to take him back to Selhust Park and are tipped to step up their attempts to sign him on an initial loan deal.
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is still pursuing the signing of Loic Remy from QPR, according to Goal.com.
Remy, 27, spent last season on loan at St James’ Park but has made it clear he is not keen on a permanent move.
He wants to stay in London and is desperate to join Arsenal but there has been no firm approach from the Gunners, Chelsea or Tottenham despite numerous reports of those clubs being interested.
That has apparently given Newcastle renewed hope that they could yet sign the France striker before the approaching transfer deadline.
Meanwhile, Brazilian centre-back Bressan, 21, is set to join QPR from Gremio, his agent Marcelo Lipatin has claimed.
“A proposal was made [by QPR] that matches what we expected. But we are still waiting the club to make an official offer,” Lipatin told Globo Esporte.
“But the way things are going it will probably happen. All parties have reached an agreement.”
