Transfer gossip: Speculation continues over Ake’s future

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

Chelsea will demand more than £10m for Nathan Ake if the club decides to sell him, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Recent reports that Watford will pursue deal to sign Ake, 21, on a permanent basis have prompted further speculation about his future.

The Telegraph say Liverpool, West Ham and a host of German clubs are keen on the Dutch defender, who has impressed while on loan at Watford this season.

Chelsea are wary of letting him go after seeing how well Ryan Bertrand has performed for Southampton since leaving Stamford Bridge, it is claimed.

Ake can play in the centre of defence, midfield or at full-back

It is also suggested that a loan move to Borussia Monchengladbach could be an option for Ake this summer.

Meanwhile, The Sun have picked up on reports in the German media that Chelsea have made an approach to sign Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels.

And the Daily Mail say Chelsea face competition from Juventus for the signing of Roma’s Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan, who has been linked with a move to the Bridge.
