A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea and QPR…
Chelsea want Danny Rose and are prepared to pay Tottenham £15m for the left-back, according to the Daily Mirror.
A £17m deal to sign Ghana left-back Abdul Baba Rahman from Augsburg is apparently a back-up option if Chelsea are unable to agree a fee for Rose.
Meanwhile, Newcastle have lined up Uruguay international Diego Rolan in case they miss out on Charlie Austin, the Daily Express say.
It has been widely claimed that Newcastle are trying to agree a deal with QPR for striker Austin, who has been linked with several clubs this summer.
The Express say Bordeaux forward Rolan, 22, is the Magpies’ back-up option should they fail to land Austin.
The Daily Mail say QPR face competition from other clubs for the signing of Dan Bentley and that the club have been told by Southend that he is not for sale.
Rangers plan to offer the Shrimpers around £1.5m for Bentley and are hoping to complete a deal prior to Saturday’s Championship opener against Charlton.
The Mail say Hull City, Swansea and Nottingham Forest are also interested in the 22-year-old, who helped Southend win promotion last season.
