Transfer gossip: Chelsea linked with Jovic and Carvajal

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea..

Chelsea are among the clubs linked with Red Star Belgrade’s highly-rated teenage striker Luka Jovic.

The Daily Mail say Tottenham have sent scouts to watch Jovic and that the Blues, Arsenal, Ajax and Benfica are also monitoring the Serbia Under-18 international.

Red Star are said to value him at £6m and club director Zvezdan Terzic has apparently compared him with Chelsea forward Radamel Falcao.

Meanwhile, Spanish media reports claim Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho wants to sign Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal.

Mourinho recently mocked reports he had instructed his scouts to find a replacement for Branislav Ivanovic and he then made the Serbian his captain for Saturday’s game against Arsenal.

It is claimed that Chelsea are willing to pay £14m for Carvajal, 23, when the transfer window reopens in January.
