Transfer gossip: Blues again linked with possible move for Pelle
A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…
Chelsea have again been linked with a possible move for Southampton striker Graziano Pelle, this time by the Daily Telegraph.
The newspaper reports that Pelle is on his way out of Southampton, with the south-coast club reportedly not planning to extend his contract, which has another year to run.
It is claimed that new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is interested in signing him and that the Blues are among a number of clubs considering a move for the 30-year-old.
The Telegraph say Southampton want between £10m and £20m for Pelle and that there is expected to be interest from Chinese Super League clubs as well as from Italy’s Serie A.
It is also suggested that former Saints boss Ronald Koeman, who recently took over as Everton manager, might regard him as a good option.
The Telegraph also suggest that Chelsea’s signing of striker Michy Batshuayi from Marseille could lead to Diego Costa leaving Stamford Bridge this summer.
Costa has been linked with a return to his former club Atletico Madrid amid speculation that he will be allowed to move on.
