Blues said to be chasing Callejon and speculation continues over Austin
A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea and QPR…
Chelsea are ready to offer Napoli £26m for Jose Callejon in order to beat Arsenal to the signing of the winger, it is claimed.
Reports in Spain say Chelsea are interested in Callejon, prompting Metro to report that the Blues are looking to see off rival interest from Arsenal.
Italian media reports have suggested that Inter Milan are keen on the 28-year-old, which the Sunday Express say has ‘stunned’ Chelsea as well as Tottenham, who have also been linked with him.
The Daily Star Sunday say John Stones’ former club Barnsley being entitled to 15% of any transfer fee is the reason Everton have rejected bids from Chelsea for the defender.
It is suggested that Chelsea may need to offer £30m in order to land Stones and that Manchester United and Manchester City are also looking to sign him.
The Star also say Chelsea have offered Augsburg £25m for Ghana left-back Baba Rahman.
It comes after his agent Sacha Emphacher was quoted in the German press as saying: “Chelsea made an attractive offer. It is Baba’s dream to play for a top club. He would like to take this opportunity.”
Meanwhile, speculation continues over the future of Charlie Austin, with Newcastle, Everton and West Ham again reported to be pursuing the QPR striker.
The Sun on Sunday say Newcastle are in pole position to sign him in a £15m deal but that Everton are also targeting him.
West Ham are among the other clubs to have been continually linked with Austin in recent months despite only Leicester making an approach for the 26-year-old.
The Mail on Sunday declare that the Hammers have joined Newcastle in a battle to sign him, while the Sunday Mirror say West Ham have stepped up their apparent interest because of an injury to Enner Valencia.
Once again the Mirror suggests winger Matt Jarvis could be offered to QPR in an £11m cash-plus-player deal.

On Saturday, Dutch media reports claimed QPR were set to sign FC Twente midfielder Kyle Ebecilio.
Ebecilio is a Netherlands Under-21 international who was on Feyenoord’s books and then spent three years at Arsenal before joining his current club in 2013.
Rangers have not shown any interest in signing Ebecilio, 21.
However, it has been reported that he has been absent from training as he apparently finalises a move to west London.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Spurs do a lot of chasing decent players and end up with two bob ones.
