Chelsea reportedly offered former AC Milan star Pato along with United

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

Chelsea have been given the chance to sign former AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato for around £11m, the Sunday Telegraph reports.

The Brazil international, 25, has been tipped to leave Corinthians this summer and his representatives are trying to secure him a move to England. He has duly been linked with several Premier League clubs.

The Telegraph say Chelsea and Manchester United have been made aware of potential deal to sign Pato but are unlikely to be interested.

Meanwhile, the Mail on Sunday say John Terry, who was substituted against Manchester City, will fear for his Chelsea future if he does not start today’s game at West Bromwich Albion.

It comes as Chelsea pursue the signing of Everton’s John Stones, who has been touted as Terry’s replacement, while the Mail say Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane is also a target.

Following recent speculation that Stones could hand in a transfer request in an attempt to force a move, the Daily Star Sunday reports that he will not do so.

Reports in the Italian media continue to suggest that Juventus are pursuing a deal to sign Chelsea’s Juan Cuadrado on loan.

The Sun yesterday reported that Chelsea were poised to sign Juve midfielder Paul Pogba in a £69m deal.

Today, The Sun on Sunday suggests the Italian club’s apparent interest in Cuadrado means Chelsea are edging towards deal to sign Pogba.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho may let Ramires as well as Cuadrado go in order to land Pogba in exchange, according to the Sunday Times.
