Transfer gossip: Guardiola wants City to hijack Bazoer deal, Mirror say

Ajax youngster Riechedly Bazoer, who has been tipped to join Chelsea, is also wanted by incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, according to the Daily Mirror.

The newspaper say Guardiola, who will take over at City in the summer, wants his new club to hijack Chelsea’s apparent move for the 19-year-old midfielder.

Chelsea are said to be in advanced talks over a £24m deal to sign Bazoer, whose brother and agent was at the Blues’ training ground last week.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are yet again being linked with a move for Paris St-Germain striker Edinson Cavani.

French media reports say talks have taken place ahead of a possible deal to take Cavani to Stamford Bridge.

The Daily Express have subsequently claimed that he is being chased by Chelsea and Manchester United.
