A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…
Chelsea could be ready to pay close to £37m for Jose Gaya, Metro claim.
It comes after a Spanish website suggested that the Blues are interested in the 20-year-old left-back and are planning to make a move for him when the transfer window reopens in January.
He was linked with a move to Chelsea prior to the club’s recent signing of Baba Rahman from Augsburg.
Gaya reportedly has a €50m (around £36.6m) release clause in his contract and it is claimed that Chelsea are considering paying that amount.
Meanwhile, there continues to be speculation that Chelsea might be looking to replace Branislav Ivanovic, this time by the Daily Star.
Ivanovic’s contract expires at the end of the season and he is yet to be offered a new deal.
Manager Jose Mourinho on Friday mocked recent reports that he had instructed Chelsea scouts to find a new right-back.
