Fans on Twitter hail Hoilett after his Canada debut
Junior Hoilett has flattered to deceive during his time at QPR and attracted much criticism as a result. But the winger went down a storm on his Canada debut.
Canadian fans on Twitter were lavish in their praise of the Rangers man, who snubbed previous chances to play for his country but certainly impressed in the 1-1 draw with Ghana in Washington.

Say what you will about Hoilett not showing until now but don’t question the effort he’s putting in out there right now. #canMNT — Jesse Vansickle (@smartlikefox81) October 14, 2015

Hoilett is class I’m not used to seeing. Adds a new dimension to Canada’s defensive approach, causing problems all half #canMNT

My MotM is a tie between Hoilett and Lefevre. Excellent game from both debutantes. #CanMNT — Vince Alvarado (@VinceByDemand) October 14, 2015
Man of the match for #CANMNT was Hoilett.

What a performance from Hoilett. Super dangerous, imagine him with 1st team. Obviously all not him, but #canMNT looks like a different team

Watching #canMNT try to play football is such a miserable experience. Mediocrity galore, besides Hoilett. — Hani Ali Aqdas (@HaniAqdas) October 14, 2015
It was definitely very different to the kind of performance Hoilett has tended to produce in a QPR shirt…
If Hoilett played like this for QPR, We probably wouldn’t have bought Chery…
