QPR fans on Twitter react to news of Kpekawa’s proposed move
Many QPR fans on Twitter have vented their disappointment at the news that a fee has been agreed for Cole Kpekawa to join Barnsley.
The defender has been given the green light to travel north to discuss personal terms.
The 20-year-old has made only nine first-team appearances for QPR, but many supporters seem convinced he could have had a future at Loftus Road, ahead of the likes of Jack Robinson.
@WestLondonSport ridiculous, he is young, quick, strong, left footed, good in the air, what more do you want? hope we insert sell on clause

@WestLondonSport stupid decision

Selling Kpekawa is a big risk considering our current backup LB is Robinson who has massive injury problems

Selling Kpekawa is ridiculous ,quick ,young , solid , and our other LB is very injury prone!also Cole do a job at CB,bad decision if we sell

Don’t want Kpekawa to leave. I am jealous of other teams’ successful youth systems, we always end up selling every decent youth player

It would be a real shame if we sold Kpekawa. Both he a Furlong have real potential if used correctly and played in their right positions

Selling Kpekawa seem very short term…surely he offers depth & could develop into a pretty good player with game time #qpr

Will not be a happy boy seeing Kpekawa go.

Big squad, or small squad, QPR need a better class of defender. I’m sorry to say it but Kpekawa is not good enough for a club that expects to see itself in the Premier League, either this season, or next!
IMO, the same applies to Furlong as well.

J.F.H. stated after one of our defeats “we are a small squad and we’re tired”.well if it’s a small squad what the hell are you doing selling one of our best prospects…we should be adding to the squad not making it smaller…absolutely disgraceful decision to sell him.

I for one do not want Kpekawa to leave. As mentioned Robinson is injury prone. Do we really need the maegre money. I prefer to keep him and i am sure he will be ready to challenge for place in the next 6 months

I am not happy about losing a talented young player. We are finally producing quality young players and we are selling them

JFH said “get behind our youngsters”. So why is he selling one with great potential?
