Reports: Morrison needs surgery and Wright-Phillips is set for Charlton

Shaun Wright-Phillips is set to join Charlton, the Daily Express suggest.

Addicks boss Chris Powell has expressed an interest in taking the 32-year-old former England winger on loan from QPR.

Wright-Phillips is out of favour at QPR.

Meanwhile, Ravel Morrison will delay a hernia operation until the end of the season, according to the Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old will join QPR on loan from West Ham this week and is expected to make his debut in Saturday’s game against Charlton.

Rangers have delayed completing the deal so that the 93-day loan spell will include the Championship play-off final should they fail to achieve automatic promotion.

And it is claimed that the midfielder needs surgery on an ongoing problem and considered going under the knife before QPR boss Harry Redknapp made a move to sign him.

The apparent problem is said to be causing Morrison some discomfort but not enough to stop him playing a full part for Rangers during the run-in.
