QPR boss Redknapp tipped to make new attempt to sign Crouch

The Daily Mirror reports that QPR manager Harry Redknapp remains keen to sign Peter Crouch from Stoke City.

Aware of his continued popularity among Rangers fans, the club have made several attempts to take the striker back to Loftus Road in recent years.

He played under Redknapp at Tottenham, Portsmouth and Southampton, and the R’s boss thought he had clinched a deal to sign him last year, but the move did not materialise.

Stoke’s former QPR manager Mark Hughes has stated that he is unwilling to part with the Ealing man, who left Rangers to join Portsmouth  in 2001.

But Redknapp is tipped to make another attempt to sign him and it is claimed that Crouch, 32, wants to move back to London.
