QPR boss Harry Redknapp will try to sign Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe on loan, the Daily Mirror reports.
Defoe is expected to confirm a transfer to Toronto FC and could be available for a short-term move ahead of the MLS season, which begins in March.
Former Spurs boss Redknapp recently insisted there was little chance of him being able to land the England international.
But he would like to take him to Loftus Road and is tipped to attempt to agree deal.

Meanwhile, Italian press reports suggest Serie A club Catania are interested in QPR midfielder Samba Diakite.
And the Daily Mail says Fulham are set to receive loan fee of about £820,000 for Bryan Ruiz.
The Costa Rican forward is expected to join Real Betis with a view to a permanent move.
