QPR said to be considering Yakubu deal, Villa linked with Fulham star

Harry Redknapp is considering signing Yakubu for QPR, the Daily Mirror say.

The 32-year-old striker played under Rangers boss Redknapp at Portsmouth and also had spells at Everton, Blackburn and Middlesbrough.

He currently plays for Qatari club Al Rayyan and is keen to return to England in January.

The speculation comes after Yakubu was seen at QPR’s game against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Boxing Day.

Adel Taarabt has turned down a move to Atalanta, according to the Daily Mail.

The Moroccan, an outcast under Redknapp at Loftus Road, is said to be holding out for a move to AC Milan, who had Taarabt on loan last season but have not attempted to sign him on a permanent basis.

Meanwhile, the Mirror say Aston Villa are weighing up a move for  Fulham midfielder Lasse Vigen Christensen.

It is claimed that QPR have been closely watching the 20-year-old Dane, who is supposedly seen by Villa boss Paul Lambert as a potential replacement for Fabian Delph.

Christensen, who is under contract at Craven Cottage until 2017, would apparently cost Villa around £5m.

Birmingham City are keen to sign Chelsea teenager Islam Feruz on loan, again according to the Mirror.

The Scotland Under-21 striker, 19, is currently on loan at OFI Crete but several Championship clubs are reported to be interested.

Bolton, Charlton, Bournemouth and Cardiff are all said to be monitoring the situation.
