QPR fans on Twitter have been reacting to the news that Nedum Onuoha has been made captain.
Supporters were largely pleased that the ‘Chief’ will wear the armband next season.
However, a few were more sceptical, suggesting that Onuoha would not even make their first-choice starting line-up, let alone lead the team.
But one man who is sure the club has made the right decision is Rangers vice-chairman Amit Bhatia, who tweeted his delight at the news.

The choice of Captain is one constrained by limited alternatives, a clear sign that the club is short of quality and needs to recruit a leader younger than Clint Hill. He is clearly the best person for the task but cannot provide leadership if he is not on the pitch. Unless he improves significantly Onuaha does not have the ability to lead the back four let alone the rest of the team.
While I think Onuaha has good character, I also have serious concerns on his abilities as a player. Lots of mistakes, errors in judgment and just lack of ball control skills. I may have chosen Robert Green actually.
I think Onouha is a good choice although whether he will be a regular starter remains to be seen.
Apart from Clint Hill and Onohua I can't think of any other outfield player that you can class as a leader on the pitch.
This should mean we will have Ned playing in a one position at the back, centre half I hope and he will be given the opportunity to form a partnership with Caulks.
The boss Amit Bhatia is correct as usual ; Nedum Onuoha will be excellent as captain.
He is old school and has his heart in the club.
Lets hope the Rangers can mount a challenge for promotion this season.
