Fans on Twitter react to Miazga’s display against Swansea
Chelsea fans on Twitter were split in their judgement of Matt Miazga after the defender was hauled off at half-time in the 1-0 defeat at Swansea.
The January signing from New York Red Bulls put in an unconvincing 45-minute display, compounded by the weak header that led to Swansea’s winner, and was replaced at centre-back by John Mikel Obi.
It had some Blues fans doubting his ability at Premier League level and questioning why youngsters like Andreas Christensen were loaned out.
Miazga has no future at Chelsea. Sorry to say.

when John Obi Mikel is better at your job than you, it’s time to revaluate your life

If Miazga is kept in favour of Christensen next season I give up

I think Miazga should play in the U21’s next week when we face city, I know the youth need experience but I don’t wanna be beat 6-0

But others weren’t so quick to write the American off, remembering how impressed fans were after his debut at Aston Villa and pointing out the culpability of more senior players.
Miazga was 1 of about 5 people with direct blame for that goal. Not sure why he’s the one being singled out. #cfc

Miazga was as poor as some 3-4 CFC players yesterday but Hiddink as usual made him scapegoat considering his small status in team.

How can Hiddink punish Miazga like that? If you want to play youngsters, have the guts to let them play the whole match then.

Any Chelsea fans calling Miazga not good enough are idiots #cfc

Miazga will make mistakes. He’s 20 but has a brilliant future ahead of him. Blaming him for the loss is ridiculous however. @ChelseaFC

A single mistake should not mean miazga isn’t good. At least Pedro caused a goal during. Watford match I think. We shouldn’t just conclude like that so as not to make the same mistake we did on players like lukaku, de brugne, cuadrado, josh etc

A single mistake can not mean he isn’t good enough, no wonder we are bitting our fingers for the lose of Kevin to Man City.
