Guarin speculation, Essien reported to have snubbed West Ham
Chelsea and Tottenham are competing for the signing of Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin, the Express claim.
Spurs are reported to have submitted an £8.2m bid for the Colombian, who is still said to be a Blues target.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho recently indicated that he was not looking to sign Guarin and the player’s agent admitted that no approach had been made.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Michael Essien has rejected a possible move to West Ham, according to GhanaSoccernet.
There are reports the 31-year-old has agreed personal terms with AC Milan, who are apparently yet to establish whether they will be signing him on loan or on a permanent basis.
Sky Italia say Milan have told Chelsea they are keen to sign Essien on an 18-month contract.

Why would he go to Chelsea when they have a ridiculous amount of midfielders and have just signed Salah! He’d be warming the bench like Mata was!
