Fans on Twitter call for Austin deal after QPR striker scores two more
Charlie Austin’s double against Rotherham on Saturday has increased speculation that he could be snapped up by a Premier League club before the transfer window closes.
Austin has been linked with a return to the top flight throughout the summer, with Newcastle, West Ham, Aston Villa and Tottenham among those said to be interested.
And some fans on Twitter have called for their club to pay the £15m QPR want for the striker – including Spurs supporters.
I know some people have reservations about Austin but he’s a proven goal scorer at this level & that’s what we need. Just buy him Levy #thfc — Chris Park (@CSP111976) August 22, 2015
Austin is the player that we need #COYS

Many Newcastle fans believe Austin could be a good replacement for Papiss Cisse.
Why don’t we just go out and get Austin Newcastle!! He’s banging them in at the moment!! #NUFC #NewCastleUnited — Ben Squires (@Allsaints28) August 22, 2015
Sell Cisse to Galatasaray & buy Austin as our new no9 simples #nufc

West Ham effectively ruled themselves out of signing Austin when co-chairman David Sullivan raised questions about the striker’s injury history, but some Hammers fans still want him.
Break the bank and sign Austin. Has to be done. #WHUFC — Fat, White Payet (@SamWilsonWhu) August 22, 2015
Right, that’s it! Let’s swallow our pride and go get Austin!#whufc

Meanwhile, Aston Villa have lacked goals in their first three Premier League games and could still be in the market for a striker…
Imagine Gil, Grealish and Traore feeding Austin. GOALS. #avfc — Andy_avfc (@Andy__avfc) August 22, 2015
Cough up £15 mil for Austin and guarantee yourself a 12+ finish Villa. Fail to do so, see yourselves scrapping things out for a while. #avfc

Dion Dublin says he can’t see where Villas goals are going to come from and like it or not he’s bang on the money, I’m not a great Austin fan but I do agree that he would probably guarantee our safety, if TS doesn’t sign a proven out and out striker this week, I’m afraid it’s just more of the same.

Villa desperately need a proven goal scorer NOW its no good dictating the first 45 mins like we did yesterday at Palace for the “one to ones” falling to Gabby it will not turn games into wins We have relied on Gabby too long and it ain’t worked. Lets get Charlie Austin and watch us go.
Stay as we are and its gonna be another long cold winter. Financially too much at stake now to run without an established number 9 in the hope that some of the new lads come off. Looks a long way off right now

What a major error of judgement from Mr David Sullivan, not what you expect from a co-chairman and owner, but please Mr Sullivan, eat some humble pie, apologise in person to Charlie Austin, offer player exchange plus cash and get CHARLIE signed up before next weekend please!
