QPR fans react to Fernandes’ latest Twitter rant

QPR fans on Twitter have been reacting to Tony Fernandes’ latest responses to his critics.

The co-chairman has again taken to social media to hit back at his detractors – and yet again suggested that progress is being made in the club’s pursuit of new stadium and new training ground.

Many Rangers supporters were far from impressed by Fernandes’ comments.

Others, however, had some sympathy for Fernandes, who has faced much criticism – and, on occasions, abuse – from fans on Twitter in recent months.

Fernandes posted his comments following QPR’s 1-1 draw at Bolton – a result which left them 12th in the Championship table and with just two wins in their 14 matches under manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

  • Tony is a good man
    Mistakes - ya- r u perfect ?
Frustrated -ya - he trusted Hughes and redknapp - both bought junk players
Will he turn it around - ya
    Be patient

  • The thing I've learnt about QPR Fans in the last year.
The fans are short sighted and are far too busy harming the club, the managers and the players with disrespectful and shameful comments.
Thankfully it's likely to be a smaller contingent than the mass.

Put your hands up if you want Flavio Briatore , Bernie Ecclestone and Gianni Paladini. Though not.
Tony Fernandes has surely done his best to improve the club, if you think you can do better then put you hand in your pocket and write off 60 million. If you don’t like it, find another club to support but not this one.

  • New stadium

Where what when why oh why mention the stadium
I would like our team to go out on to the pitch with a game plan with maybe an attacking going forward taking the game to the opposition let's have a go at entertaining mentality ..,
No good taking about a far far far away dream of a new stadium
Even if it's further along then I believe ,,
    Which I seriously doubt
It's no good playing dross football and playing in a new stadium ( yeah that'll happen in my life time )
They'll be more ball boys than crowd ,
Who in their right mind is going to continually pay good money week after week year after year to watch that crap

We're as near getting a new stadium as
We are to going up as champions this season
    No chance

  • As fans, its disappointing when the team don't perform and on many occasions in recent times don't look as if they are trying, that said Tony has been guilty of Naivety when it comes to football, however if like me you are of a certain age,you can remember what we have had in terms of owners in the past.Tony's heart is in the right place we should never forget that(not to mention his money) I remain grateful.
