Chelsea fans on Twitter discuss Terry’s future after Zouma impresses
Chelsea fans on Twitter have been discussing the future of John Terry, with many suggesting his days as a first-team regular could be over.
The 34-year-old skipper was left out of the starting line-up for the Champions League win over Maccabi Tel Aviv and also watched from the bench as replacement Kurt Zouma scored in Saturday’s 2-0 victory against Arsenal.
Terry is set to return to the team when the Blues visit Walsall in the League Cup, and some supporters believe the former England defender has slipped behind Zouma in the pecking order.
With the Cahill and Zouma partnership looking solid, JT shouldn’t just come back into the team. He needs to prove himself too — Harrison Godfrey (@canada_cfc1905) September 21, 2015
I think JT will spend a lot of time on the bench.Zouma & Cahill should start regularly now.

Terry and Cahill used to keep Zouma out of the team and play him for cup games. Now it’s the opposite… — Noah El-Zein #CFC (@Nooh_E) September 20, 2015
Zouma can do some things that JT and Cahill could only dream of. The future…and present! #CFC

I love JT but it’s Zouma over him now #cfc — Logan Peters (@some1somwhr) September 20, 2015
Kurt Zouma is basically the young version of John Terry, I knew as soon as Chelsea signed him from St Ettiene he will become great
