Fans on Twitter react to Caulker’s strange debut against Arsenal
Liverpool fans on Twitter could not resist a few jokes after Steven Caulker’s debut as a makeshift striker against Arsenal.
Caulker joined the Reds on Tuesday on loan from QPR, his previous deal with Southampton being ended early.
But as surprising as that move was, it was nothing compared to the reaction when the centre-back was brought on to play up front as Liverpool successfully chased an equaliser against the Gunners.
Don’t care what anyone says #Caulker changed that game #LFC 😉

I bet a week ago Steven Caulker didn’t expect to come on for Liverpool against Arsenal at Anfield and play up front with Benteke #LFC

Steven Caulker Monday: Not getting a look-in at Southampton. Wednesday: Playing up front for Liverpool.#lfc #lfclive

Caulker has played more minutes for #LFC than sturridge and he’s only been a Liverpool player a day.

QPR supporters also joined in the fun…
That’s where we went wrong. We played Caulker as a centre half! 🙂 #QPR

Who knew #QPR were playing Caulker at the wrong end of the pitch!

Imagine the twitter meltdown from R’s fans if Chris Ramsay had played Caulker upfront lol #qpr

Caulker drew Mertesaker away whilst Benteke nods down for Joe Pirlo to equalise. Easy.

What people are forgetting -but Klopp has clearly done his homework – is that Caulker has already scored for Liverpool
