Eden Hazard’s comments that the Chelsea squad do not want Tottenham to win the title have provoked strong reactions on Twitter.
Title rivals Leicester and Spurs both have to visit Stamford Bridge before the end of the season, but Blues winger Hazard said he believed the Foxes deserved to be champions.
Cesc Fabregas, a former Arsenal midfielder, had earlier also said Chelsea were determined to stop Tottenham – and the pair’s remarks were not well received by some.
Many Chelsea fans, though, enjoyed Hazard’s fighting talk and predicted he would play a big part when the two sides meet next week.
Some Arsenal supporters found themselves in the unusual position of being behind Chelsea, but a few Manchester United and Liverpool fans were unimpressed with Hazard’s behaviour.

Let's face it, Chelsea are all about rolling over, when Roman is in the stadium it's tummy tickles all round for his little pets.
Tottenham will play chelsea, southampton and newscatle..leciester city will play man utd, everton and chelsea..both teams will never win all the remaining matches..so leciester city will be champions..congrats FOXES inadvance
The problem people have with what Chelsea players (and manager) saying is this:
They have to play Spurs and Leicester. if they clearly have game of the season against Spurs, then there is any hint whatsoever of a weakened team or a powder-puff performance against Leicester then they leave themselves open to accusations of deliberately losing. If that happens they could face sanctions. The only way for them to avoid that is to play out of their skins against Leicester. Now, even if Leicester beat them fairly, which is, of course, possible (there is a reason they are top of the league) they will still face these accusations,
No-one cares what they think privately, or what they say among themselves. And no-one fails to 'get-it' as to why the Chelsea fans might want Leicester and not Spurs to win the league.* It just that it was a stupid thing to say publicly, let alone now upwards of three players saying it (and claiming to speak for the rest of the team), and the manager. They absolutely now have to at least match, or better, any performance they put on against Spurs when they face Leicester.
*Anyway, why have the Chelsea fans and everyone at the club manufactured this extreme bitterness towards Spurs? Chelsea's traditional rivalry was with QPR. When I was growing up the big rivalry was with West Ham. Spurs haven't actually done much to Chelsea other than losing out due to Chelsea being gifted a huge amount of money, and the result thereof. Baffles me why Chelsea, fans and club, feel the need to express so much bitterness towards them, TBH.
The comments by Hazard, and even Fabregas, show what a shower they are over at Stamford Bridge. Rather than thinking only what Chelsea should be achieving, and for what they (the players) get paid unbelievable amounts to do, they try to deflect attention from their pathetic season (despite their crude wealth) by insinuating that they'll do everything to ensure Leicester win the title ...as if whichever club DID win the PL, apart from them, actually meant something to CFC and its fans! But then many of the fans are the same as the club, if truth be told. No class, no integrity, no dignity, no pride and, ultimately, no genuine hope of glory ...despite their 'buying' of trophies in more recent years. I hope Spurs nail them at the Bridge, despite Chelsea's 'need' to beat the Lillywhites (hah), but if Spurs don't win, and Leicester go on to win the title, then good luck to the Foxes. The only problem that ominously may rear its head is if, on the final day, Leicester need a victory or a draw at Chelsea to clinch the title. I'll tell you this, CFC, if you are not being seen to play your heart out for your club against Leicester (as you would have done against Spurs) that final day, (and by 'the club' I mean your employers, CFC's history and the badge, if not many of your likeminded classless fans), then the whole footballing world will see your cheap manipulation and petty jealous spite, and know you for the 'gutter team' you are (despite playing in the most salubrious area in the UK). If you deliberately fold against Leicester (if it means stopping Spurs winning the PL) then your profile throughout the world, as well as in the UK, will sink ...and hopefully without trace. Let THAT be your legacy. Not to great football and pride in your club and team ...but to 'do you remember when a pathetic Chelsea team made their season (and future) 10 times worse by deliberately rolling over to spitefully prevent another London team from winning the PL?'.
It is disgusting, unprofessional and unethical, Chelsea are probably going to decide who wins the league this year as they have to play both clubs in the final 3 games
Both players should be charged by the FA for bringing the game into disrepute
If really chelsea dont want spurs to win the league, then they have to play their best to win the match not like the way they played against man city.
I love football and I hope that is what we will see what ever happen s if it comes to the last game let's hope the fa are looking at the Chelsea game cos as the players and manager are hoping that spurs will not win the prem that the fa look at the last game and Chelsea will lose points next season. I have never heard of players going on the way they are the Fan's yes I can understand but the players no. So let's wait and see.
Man utd will beat Leicester. I was hoping for Leicester to draw with Chelsea but that now looks ominous. So that just leaves Everton. Maybe they can nick the draw that spurs need Leicester to get. I have no doubt that Chelsea will get a good drubbing as the gulf in class and stamina couldn't get any wider. I firmly believe spurs will get the max points. (12) it whether Leicester can lose 1 and draw . Utd have the carrot as Woolwich lost 2 points plus they go to city so I'm having utd do Leicester. If Leicester get anything at old trafford, well that will be that as chelsea have nailed showed exactly what a feral club they really are. Coys!
Unfortunately what people think will make no difference. Chelsea will roll over for Leicester going by what their players are saying so the titles as good as won now. If you compare Leicesters run in with Spurs its even more damning for Spurs. Chelsea also play Spurs and will fight hard to stop them winning, Southampton play Spurs and want a top 6 finish so will give their all and lastly Newcastle are fighting to stay up so Spurs will never catch Leicester who have only really got Man Utd to contend with. Even if they lose to Man Utd it makes no difference to their titles chances. The foxes have won the title already thats for sure.
