Gossip: Speculation over duo’s future and Blues are linked with Dutch defender
A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…
Diego Costa has been tipped to leave Chelsea next summer and return to Atletico Madrid.
The Daily Express, picking up on reports in Spain, declare that Costa has expressed an interest in going back to his former club.
However, the original article, which appeared in Cadena SER, added that a move would only be possible if Atletico could match his Blues salary.
There is also further speculation about the future of Chelsea full-back Branislav Ivanovic.
The Daily Mirror quotes the Serbian’s agent as saying the 31-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, could sign a new deal.
However, he also refused to rule out a mooted move to Inter Milan.
The Daily Star, meanwhile, links Dutch right-back Gregory van der Wiel with a switch to Stamford Bridge.
It picks up on reports in France which suggest Chelsea could attempt to sign the Paris St-Germain defender on a free transfer.
The Star also believes the new deal signed by Wolves striker Niall Ennis is a blow for Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City, who were all supposedly monitoring the 16-year-old.
And reports in Italy suggest that Marko Grujic, 19, would prefer a move to Roma rather than Chelsea, who have been linked with the Serbian midfielder.
