A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving the area’s Championship clubs…
Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez will consider a move for Ross McCormack, the Daily Mail claim.
Aston Villa and Norwich are also said to be interested in the Fulham striker, who scored 23 goals last season.
Relegated Newcastle believe McCormack could play a key role for them in the Championship next season, the Mail say.
Meanwhile, Fulham midfielder Emerson Hyndman has spoken to the media in the United States about his expected departure from Craven Cottage.
The American suggested last season that he would move on this summer – and he has since been linked with several leading European clubs, including Manchester United.
“You take a bigger club and possibly not play as much, maybe go on loan or you can settle for a good solid club, maybe not fighting for the same things but you’ll get more chances along the way,” Hyndman is quoted as saying.
“I feel like I need to make the best decision for me, personally and that’s going to take a little bit of time.”
Maarten Stekelenburg could have a future at Southampton following his spell on loan there from Fulham, according to the Southern Daily Echo.
The Dutch goalkeeper acted as a stand-in for Fraser Forster when the England international was injured last season.
It is suggested that with veteran keeper Kelvin Davis having retired, and Saints boss Ronald Koeman apparently keen to have experienced cover for Forster, another loan deal could be an option.
QPR are among the latest clubs to be linked with a move for Liverpool youngster Sergi Canos.
Watford are also said to be interested in the midfielder, who impressed while on loan at Brentford last season.
With the 19-year-old yet to sign a new contract at Anfield, there has been much speculation about his future.
And after the Liverpool Echo reported that Rangers and Watford have been monitoring Canos, the Daily Express claim he could be heading for a £4m move.
And the Daily Mail have picked up on recent reports that Sandro is poised to join Sporting Lisbon.
The Brazilian midfielder ended last season on loan at West Brom from QPR, who are keen to offload him.
A deal is imminent and Sandro is set to discuss personal terms later this week, the Mail believe.
