Transfer gossip: Speculation over Stones, Terry, Remy, Hazard and Christsensen
A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…
Chelsea will redouble their efforts to sign Everton’s England defender John Stones following Kurt Zouma’s injury, the Daily Telegraph say.
With Zouma ruled out for at least six months, the Telegraph suggest Chelsea are particularly keen to sign Stones this summer, but Manchester City are said to be favourites to land the centre-back.
The newspaper also suggests Chelsea could recall youngster Andreas Christensen rather than allow him to spend a second season on loan at Borussia Mönchengladbach – and rather than than offer skipper John Terry a new contract.
Meanwhile, Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua are ready to offer Chelsea £11m for Loic Remy, the Daily Mirror claim.
Spanish media reports, which have been widely picked up by the UK press, continue to suggest that Real Madrid will move for Chelsea star Eden Hazard at the end of the season.
And a number of newspapers are linking Santos teenager Gabriel Barbosa with a potential move to Chelsea.
It comes after The Sun suggested on Monday that the 19-year-old is wanted by a number of clubs, including the Blues.
