Transfer gossip: Chelsea again linked with Zaza, Courtois speculation continues
A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…
Speculation continues over the future of Thibaut Courtois, while Chelsea have again been linked with Juventus striker Simone Zaza.
The Daily Telegraph suggested in March that Zaza, 24, might be targeted by incoming Blues boss Antonio Conte should Diego Costa leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
So, after Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the player is unhappy about his lack of first-team football at Juve and could leave, the Express claim Chelsea are interested but are unwilling to match the asking price.
The same apparently applies to West Ham and Crystal Palace, who are supposedly interested in Zaza too.
Meanwhile, Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo say Barcelona are considering a potential deal to sign Chelsea keeper Courtois.
Once again Stoke’s Jack Butland and Southampton’s Fraser Forster are touted as possible replacements for the Belgian, who has also been linked with Real Madrid.
The Express have also picked up on recent reports in the Belgian media that Chelsea are among several clubs interested in teenage Genk winger Leon Bailey.
Leicester are also said to be monitoring the 18-year-old Jamaican, who reportedly rejected Chelsea before moving to Belgium.
And Chelsea continue to be linked with a move for Leicester midfielder N’Golo Kante.
French newspaper L’Equipe have reported that the Blues will definitely table a bid for Kante this summer.
