Gossip: Blues linked with Valencia striker, Sunderland tipped to move for Sandro

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving the area’s clubs…

Sunderland have been linked with Sandro, while The Sun on Sunday claims Chelsea are interested in Valencia striker Paco Alcacer.

The Sunday People says recently-appointed Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce wants to sign QPR midfielder Sandro when the transfer window reopens in January.

Allardyce is also said to be keen on Charlie Austin. The People reckons Austin will reject any move in January and instead leave QPR when his contract ends next summer.

Sandro recently returned to the QPR starting line-up

Alcacer, meanwhile, has been linked with several clubs in the Spanish media in recent months.

The Sun on Sunday says Chelsea scouts have been watching him and that Blues boss Jose Mourinho wants to pay as much as £50m for the 22-year-old.
