Celtic fans on Twitter react as QPR are linked with Forrest
Many Celtic fans on Twitter have reacted angrily to news that James Forrest, who has been linked with QPR, has rejected the offer of a four-year contract and is expected to leave the Scottish Champions.
The Daily Mail have claimed that R’s boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink wants to sign the winger, who has also been linked with Norwich City.
Many Celtic supporters believe Forrest is not worth a place in their side and would not be missed.
James Forrest is the epitomy of someone who believes his own hype. Plateaud after promising start. Won’t be missed pic.twitter.com/r03BEaOjvy

Good riddance to James Forrest As he is overrated , over paid , underachieved and always injured. No tears from me 🍀👍

Delighted that James Forrest has rejected a new contract! I wouldn’t have wasted time making him an offer. Cheerio! #Celtic

With the squad we have James Forrest shouldn’t be anywhere near the team now. Play the guys who want to be there and will show some effort

I can’t even get my head around why Celtic offered James Forrest a FOUR year contract anyway?

Well if James Forrest doesn’t want to stay at club Id send him to train with development squad and no play another game

James Forrest really believe he’s good enough for a Premier League team? 😂 What a joker.

Reality check for James Forrest. The only way is down wee man, you’re not as good as you think you are!! #celtic

Wee James Forrest, you won’t be missed #Inconsistent #ForrestGump https://t.co/ISgpk9rqRN

Others, however, were a bit more complimentary about the 24-year-old.
James Forrest is a player you would want to keep in the squad. Think a lot of the criticism towards him is unjust

James Forrest is a very good player with the potential to do very well elsewhere.

My Dad, right from the get go, would often say that Forest thinks he is Jimmy Johnstone. My dad wasn’t being complementary or even optimistic, but watching the wee man in his early years I was encouraged, and hoped that he would continue to hone his skills and earn the honour of this comparison. Unfortunately it never happened. I think it’s time for James to move on, and perhaps we will reap the rewards when he is representing Scotland. HH Peter, Ajax, Canada
