Chelsea fans on Twitter react to reports of Oscar deal
Chelsea fans on Twitter have expressed mixed emotions at reports Oscar is on the verge of joining Chinese club Shanghai SIPG, managed by ex-Blues boss Andre Villas Boas.
Some reports suggest a £60m bid for the Brazilian midfielder has been accepted and that he has told his Chelsea team-mates he is moving to China – although other sources put the offer at closer to £52m.
Either way, while Blues supporters were split over Oscar’s contribution during his four-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge, and his potential use to Antonio Conte’s table-topping side, most agreed the offer was too good to turn down.
I've loved oscar as a player over the years but 60 million 😮 can't really turn that down #oscar #cfc

Snap Andre villas-boas hand off.. 52mil for Oscar! He hasn't lived up to potential and we could get a much better player for that much #CFC

Big Oscar fan, but £60m is a lot of dough #CFC #obrigadoOscar

Oscar's had bags of potential. Has never gone to that next level though which he's very capable of. Frustrating, but £60m is too good. #CFC

£60m for Oscar. Fair enough, liked the player but for that he can go! #CFC

However, other Chelsea fans were less convinced the move would be good for the player or the club…

Oscar going to China at age of 25 is just absurd. He can still be a great player in Europe but i think money is everything these days #cfc

I swear I feel bad for Oscar moving to China at this point in his career. Money aside. I don't think the move is good for him.
