QPR fans on Twitter discuss Green’s future

QPR fans on Twitter have been reacting to the news that Rangers are considering making Rob Green available to other clubs.

A clause in Green’s contract means he will land new deal at Loftus Road if he makes 30 appearances this season. He has so far made 25.

And many Rangers supporters believe offloading the 35-year-old goalkeeper would be a good move.

  • Green has been very poor in the past three matches and has let in goals that normally wouldn't bother him too greatly. He was great last season but you can see from his body language that he doesn't give two hoots anymore.
Stupid to say that McCarthy should've been the QPR #1 when he had a transfer clause in his contract that Palarse then triggered, much good that's done him as he's now #3 at Selhurst Park!
What we should've done is gone out and bought Daniel Bentley from Southend, Smithies does not instill any confidence with me.

  • Mistakes from the top again does this mean our seasons plans are going to be reviewed again?
Credit where it's due though what a good idea to sell season tickets before we know what division we are in .?!!!
Open minded about jimmy but he will need to show some character so he can live and die by his own decisions rather than those above him

  • I was pleased when McCarthy came to QPR. When he was given the chance to play, he was a young, big, strong goalkeeper who was NOT afraid to come off his line, something Green seldom does. When he does he usually makes a hash of things. His comments at the end of games last season was pathetic

  • Green has been good for QPR but it's time to say Thanks and Farewell making some terrible mistakes which are very costly

  • Ohh where is the new stadium
Where is the promotion of youth team players
Where are the tactics ( what are our tactics )
    Hound the out
Start with Ferdinand and his Spurs cronies
    Then the whole management down
    The entire coaching staff
    The entire first team squad
ffs a pub Sunday league side would put
More effort in then this lot of over paid
    Overrated underachieving poor excuse

    For professional sportsmen

  • GREEN HAS BEEN A GOOD SERVANT I HAVE ONLY SEEN QPR SIX TIMES THIS SEASON AND I THOUGHT HE WAS FINE.
ON PAPER WE HAVE A GOOD SQUAD OF PLAYERS BUT IT IS NOT A TEAM.PERFORMANCES HAVE BEEN VERY POOR WITH FEW OF THE PLAYERS SHINING.QPR ARE NOT A PROMOTION TEAM AT THE MOMENT AND NOT SURE THEY WILL IMPROVE WITHOUT A RECOGNISED TOP MANAGER. WE SHOULD HAVE KEPT WARNOCK TO HAVE ANY CHANCE THIS YEAR.

  • Agree with Superh00p... leave the man alone. Yes, it is time for him to go but he has been excellent for us overall.

  • Green has done well it's his defenders that are the problem and even more now our style of play c -ap
    Derek

  • QPR fans have short memories. Green has been an excellent servant to the club and for every gaffe has made several outstanding saves. Has struggled recently but so have most of the team. Agree he should be let go, but we should thank him for his service, not hound him out.
