Fans on Twitter discuss Remy’s future
Newcastle fans on Twitter have been urging their club to strike a last-minute deal for Chelsea striker Loic Remy.
Steve McClaren’s side are in the market for a striker and have been linked with Remy – who previously spent a season on loan at St James’ Park – and West Bromwich Albion’s Saido Berahino.
Newcastle lodged a £21m bid for Berahino but some fans want to see them spend some of that money on Remy instead.
Forget Berahino, save money and get Remy in. He needs to make the france squad for the Euro’s in the summer. He’ll be dying to play. #nufc

If we have £21m to spend on Berahino, who doesn’t look like coming to us, then why not use £12-13m of that to buy Remy?#NUFC

I’d be happier with Remy for £12m than Berahino for £25m. Miles better a player (albeit a wee bit older). Dee it.

I’d still love Remy. We seem big on loan moves at the moment. Remy wants a loan, Chelsea want to sell. #GreedyGeordie #NUFC

Have a feeling #nufc are not done yet. Remy would be a fantastic finish to a great transfer window. #fingerscrossed

Hoping Remy is the final piece of transfer business for #nufc #DeadlineDay

Meanwhile, some Chelsea fans are concerned letting Remy go could leave them a little light up front without any further business on transfer deadline day.
If we let #remy go I will flip especially if we don’t bring in another striker #cfc

I hope we have a striker lined up, should Remy go. #CFC #DeadlineDay

why would we let Remy go and only leave ourselves with 2 strikers! the only way Remy will leave is if we sign a replacement today!! #CFC
