Fans on Twitter react as duo complete moves from Brentford
Leeds and Ipswich fans on Twitter have been lauding the signings of Brentford pair Stuart Dallas and Jonathan Douglas.
Northern Ireland midfielder Dallas, 24, has signed a three-year deal with Leeds, while Douglas, 33, moved to Ipswich on a 12-month contract.
Many Leeds supporters compared Dallas to former player Robert Snodgrass, now at Hull.
Happy with the Dallas signing. Hope he has as much influence as the likes of Snodgrass did. #lufc

Dallas has a touch of Snoddy about him, bit more direct possibly. But lovely to have a ball-playing game-changer out wide again. #lufc — EastStandÜpper (@EastStandUpper) August 4, 2015
Great to see @LUFC finalised the @dallas_stuart deal! A talented winger the squad has been in need of. Looking forward to new season! #lufc

Welcome @dallas_stuart you will quickly see how and why #lufc are on a different planet to @BrentfordFC and the rest of the league #massive — JT (@JTLUFC) August 4, 2015
Ipswich fans seemed equally pleased with the acquisition of Douglas, who could end up coming back to haunt Brentford when the two sides meet in the Championship on Saturday.
Douglas scored 8 last season, our midfield put together scored 11 (if my memory serves me right!) he’s exactly what we needed! #itfc

Age not exactly on his side but I think Jonathan Douglas will be a good short term signing for us #ITFC — Dan Bridges (@tractorboy_dan) August 4, 2015
I would love to see a Douglas last minute goal and to win the game on Saturday! That would be sweet #itfc

Many Bees fans were disappointed to see the pair leave but others felt it a sign of the strength of the new-look squad that they could afford to allow Dallas and Douglas to depart.
Still confused to why Dougie and Dallas are gone. Moses was understandable, second best right back in the league last year #brentford — Alann (@AlannClark17) August 4, 2015
@dallas_stuart @LUFC bit of perspective here: Leeds have paid through the nose for a Brentford sub. That’s the state of #lufc 😂

Our bench is looking awfully empty now that Dallas and Dougie have gone. They’ll walk straight into the Leeds and Ipswich sides. Says alot — Daniel Vine (@VineyBee) August 4, 2015
