Fans on Twitter react to Terry injury
The news that captain John Terry is a doubt for Chelsea’s game at Tottenham on Sunday has worried many Blues fans on Twitter.
Terry left the pitch on a stretcher during the 4-0 Champions League win at Maccabi Tel Aviv on Tuesday, with boss Jose Mourinho confirming the defender suffered an ankle injury.
A number of Chelsea supporters immediately feared the worst for the trip to White Hart Lane should Terry be ruled out.
Terry injured. Anyone else dreading Sunday? — #CarefreeDaily (@CarefreeDaily) November 24, 2015
Praying JT is okay for Spurs on Sunday. Massive game.

I’m praying that the injury that JT sustained will not sideline him for Sunday, hopefully he’ll recover swiftly. #CFC — Llion Carbis (@carbislli) November 24, 2015
Terry will be a big loss on Sunday if he doesn’t play. Need his leadership in massive games.

I’m seriously worried about John Terry Trying to turn the season around and that could stop with Cahill-Zouma at the back. We need JT💙 #CFC — Blue Wizard (@joban_patel) November 24, 2015
Arghhh Terry out for Sunday! Dont trust Zouma n Cahill together! Experienced needed…

But some Spurs fans, who watched Terry and the rest of the Chelsea defence dismantled in the 5-3 defeat on New Year’s Day, were divided over whether his potential absence would benefit their side.
Sounds like John Terry may be ruled out for our game at weekend. That’s a crying shame…We’re coming for you #CFC. Watch out! #COYS #THFC — Lily White Love (@LilyWhiteLove13) November 25, 2015
John terry misses the game sunday, not sure if thats a good or bad thing after how @HKane mugged him off last year #COYS

#CFC without #Terry on Sunday is big for us. Hate him or not, they’re a lot more solid with him in the side. 👍 #COYS #THFC

John Terry missing on Sunday is a not a plus for us. Kane would of run him ragged. He’s got no pace. Zouma will be better suited against us — NICKY THFC TUDOR (@nickytudor) November 24, 2015

Terry is a big miss since he has been ever present in the defence despite the rotations but missing this game is also a blessing in disguise, now pace is no longer a problem but just hopes Baba Rahman is replaced by Azpilicueta while Iva starts and Ramires plays deep midfield with Fabregas out. If I were the one, I would play Remy on the right hand side, William on the right with hazard through the middle and Costa upfront.
I hope Chelsea win but less enthused despite the Tel aviv (whooping boys of the group) routing.
