QPR fans on Twitter react to duo’s departure
Many QPR fans on Twitter have reacted with dismay to the news that Alejandro Faurlin and Clint Hill are leaving the club.
Faurlin confirmed on social media that he will not be signing a new contract, while 37-year-old defender Hill is also moving on. Boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink wants to keep Junior Hoilett but the Canadian is keen to leave.
Both Faurlin and Hill are popular among Rangers supporters and many made their feelings clear after West London Sport first revealed the news on Monday morning.
Still not sure on JFH. Not having Hill and Faurlin in his plans doesn’t improve my opinion on him! #QPR pic.twitter.com/yr6OfObcjA

So Hill and Faurlin to be released but JFH wants to keep Hoilett, a man that only started trying once his contract was about to expire.

Forget the 10 year rule, Hill and Faurlin deserve a testimonial. Through recent years, they both kept alive what supporting @QPRFC is about.

Faurlin, 29, has been at Loftus Road for seven eventful years, during which time he has suffered three cruciate injuries, and many are a big fan of his talents.
Big mistake letting @alefaurlin go, best cm in the championship. One of few who has shown any desire to play for #QPR. Good luck Ale.

Just seen the Faurlin news, speechless and heartbroken. #QPR

Our best midfielder has left the club @alefaurlin #QPR

Hill joined Rangers on a free transfer from Crystal Palace in 2010 and has made 185 appearances for the club – service that should have been recognised, according to some supporters.
For what Clint Hill has given us he should choose when he leaves. Not some ex Chelsea/inexperienced manager. Joke. #qpr

And now Clint Hill gone too. Thanks For everything Hilly. An underrated defender and by all accounts a top bloke #QPR

Clint Hill better get offered another role at the club if he’s not being offered a playing contract
— Rorington (@Rorington95) May 9, 2016
But there were some supportive of the decision, as Hasselbaink prepares to revamp his squad for next season.
Looks like Faurlin won’t be offered a new contract then. I think this is sensible, if we want high tempo football need look elsewhere #QPR

Oh let’s give Fairlin another deal, he loves the club! Leave off! Should’ve been gone years ago. Correct decision, JFH! Clint Hill next!

I love Hill/Faurlin but think our love in is getting in the way of our future. Hill nearly 40. Faurlin a constant risk. Love them but also

Am i reading this right?????? Emotion does not get results’ hill 40 years old and well past it ( yes he has been a key player 5 years ago in the warnock era but past it imo) faurlin is an injury prone player’ we have to be fair kept him for 2 years through injury’ he is an rs legend yes but you cannot carry dead wood in sorry but emotion again does not come into this. Its time to look ahead and build a new QPR’ the days of warnock and winning promotion are 6 years old’ lets all move on and wish these guys the best.

Hill and Faurlin, the heart and soul of the club.
Gone.
In a year where Leicester City proved what you can do with sheer grit, team spirit and togetherness, JFH dispenses with the two biggest contributors in those areas for the last 5 years or more.
Absolutely gutted.

Sad day to see Hill and Faurlin leave but your heart says one thing and your brain another.
Let hope both of them find some thing they enjoy doing.
I agree id rather see Hasselbank on his way not sure about his ability so far. Perhaps its early days lets hope so.
is there any money for new players?
Let Hoilett go he thinks he can do better elsewhere good luck to him.
Not much of the sole of the club left.
phoenix and fire perhaps.
