Chelsea should see off West Brom – and you can expect goals from Austin

Speaking to BetVictor brand ambassador Michael Owen on Thursday, the former England striker was convinced normal service would be resumed at the weekend and suggested it would be “back to basics” for Chelsea.

He reckoned the Blues would win 1-0 at West Brom on Sunday – which is priced at 11/2.

Despite the 3-0 loss in a dead rubber last season, no side has beaten the Baggies more often than Chelsea (13) in the Premier League.

Albion have averaged only 33% of possession so far this term so the Blues are likely to see plenty of the ball.

Diego Costa is 18/5 to score the opening goal, 23/20 to find the back of the net at anytime, 4/1 to score two or more and 18/1 to score a hat-trick.

If Chelsea score early and Albion have got to come out of their shell, I think it could be a big win for the champions – but patience might be the key and a level score at half-time with a Chelsea win after 90 minutes has been popular at 17/5.

We have a number of markets on recent Chelsea acquisition Pedro at BetVictor, including:

How many league goals will Pedro score for Chelsea this season?
Seven or fewer: 5/6
Eight or more: 5/6

In the Championship, QPR took a major step in the right direction with a 3-2 win at Wolves this week and the fact that Chris Ramsey’s side came back from 2-0 down to grab all three points will have given the squad a massive lift.

As a result, they were cut to 6/1 (from 8s) with BetVictor to bounce back to the top flight at the first attempt.

Goals from Charlie Austin and a brace from Matty Phillips saw them to victory and if Rangers can keep them they’ll have a great chance of going up.

The addition of Huddersfield goalkeeper Alex Smithies is a fantastic signing and he will be in the squad against Rotherham at the weekend, when QPR will be 4-1 to beat the Millers.

All eyes will once again be on Austin up front and he should be licking his lips against the relegation favourites.

BetVictor make Austin the 7/2 favourite to score the first goal. Back him at 4/1 to bag a brace and 16/1 to score a hat-trick.

Smithies’ switch to Rangers should leave Huddersfield with a problem and Fulham, who face the Terriers at Craven Cottage, can take advantage.

The Whites are 6/4 to get the win, with the visitors 2/1 and the draw 12/5.

Brentford remain the shortest of the three clubs in the betting for both the Championship title and promotion. They are 15/8 to win at Burnley, who are 6/4 favourites with the draw 13/5.

The accumulator of Chelsea, QPR, Fulham and Brentford pays a shade over 20/1 with BetVictor and that price won’t be beaten all weekend.
