Chelsea eyeing Tottenham boss Pochettino, Sunday Times say

A round-up of Sunday newspaper stories involving Chelsea….

Chelsea have approached representatives of Mauricio Pochettino about the possibility of the Tottenham boss taking over at Stamford Bridge, according to the Sunday Times.

The newspaper say Pochettino has reservations about the scale of the rebuilding work needed at Chelsea but that the Blues have been encouraged by the discussions.

The Mail on Sunday, on the other hand, say Italy boss Antonio Conte is close to clinching the Chelsea job and will meet with club owner Roman Abramovich in Monaco next week.

Meanwhile, Chelsea want to re-sign their former striker Romelu Lukaku from Everton but would need to pay the Merseyside club double the £28m he was sold to them for, The Sun on Sunday claim.

Lukaku was sold by Chelsea in 2014

Chelsea are negotiating with Paris St-Germain to swap Diego Costa for Edinson Cavani in the summer, French publication Le 10 Sport say.

And Chelsea continue to be linked with Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

The Sunday Mirror say Icardi could move in the summer, while the Daily Star Sunday say Chelsea and Manchester City are battling to sign Pogba and will offer him £300,000 a week.

  • Guys, it's a daily round-up we do of newspaper stories and is totally separate from our own news content. We try to make this as clear as possible. The Pochetinno story is from the Sunday Times and nothing to do with us. Cheers.

  • Haha this is actually true, he doesn't use agents. "Westlondonsport.com"... Can't see you having a biased view on anything... As Christ said above, you are a joke.

  • Cheap gutter press reporting. Where are the facts ????
Mention the Chavs of Chelski and the notion is there that everything can be bought on blood money..

  • Poch doesn't have representatives. He does all the negotiating himself. You're an absolute joke
