Transfer gossip: Chelsea want Diawara in the summer, Sky say

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

Bayern Munich are looking to beat Chelsea to the signing of Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara, Sky Sports say.

Diawara is one of a host of players the Blues have been linked with in recent months.

Sky say Chelsea are interested in the 18-year-old and are keen to sign him in the summer.

Meanwhile, Newcastle could yet sign Loic Remy on loan from Chelsea before today’s transfer deadline, the Express say.

Leicester made an offer for the French striker and had been tipped to sign him, but Sky have reported that the Foxes are looking at other targets.

Remy has been linked with several clubs in recent months

The Express therefore suggest Remy could end up back at Newcastle, where he previously spent a season on loan.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror say Chelsea have rejected an approach for Diego Costa from his former club Atletico Madrid, who apparently offered striker Jackson Martinez in exchange.

There is speculation over where John Terry will be playing next season after the Blues skipper announced that he is leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of the campaign.

Terry has been at Chelsea since the age of 14

The Sun say he is likely to move to the United States, while The Guardian suggest he could be tempted by offers from China and the Middle East.

There are bound to be a host of defenders touted as a possible replacement for the Blues stalwart.

Spanish transfer-gossip website Fichajes.net have set the ball rolling by claiming Chelsea could target Barcelona’s former Arsenal centre-back Thomas Vermaelen.

And Chelsea want to sign Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell, it is claimed.

The Daily Star say the Blues, Arsenal and Manchester United are all looking to capture the 19-year-old.
