Blues linked with Brazilian youngster and Mourinho is tipped to stay

Chelsea want Benfica midfielder Victor Andrade but Manchester City are favourites to sign him, the Sunday Mirror claim.

The 20-year-old Brazilian, who has a Portuguese passport so would not need a work permit, is said to be valued at £25m.

The Sunday Mirror also say Chelsea already look set to reject the chance to sign on-loan striker Radamel Falcao from Monaco on a permanent basis.

And there is inevitably speculation about Jose Mourinho’s position after his team’s awful start to the season continued with a 3-1 home defeat against Southampton.

The Mail on Sunday reports that Mourinho feared he would be sacked but that he will keep his job as manager following a meeting of the Chelsea board.
