Transfer gossip: Chelsea want Fabregas out and Griezmann in, Sunday Express say
A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea.
The Sunday Express has two familiar stories, declaring that Chelsea will sell Cesc Fabregas and want Antoine Griezmann.
Following reports that Fabregas was set to leave Stamford Bridge during the recent transfer window, it is claimed that Chelsea will offload him when the window reopens in January.
Juventus and Inter Milan are said to be interested in signing the 29-year-old Spain international.
Meanwhile, it is also claimed that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte wants the club to break the world transfer record for Atletico Madrid’s France forward Griezmann next summer.
That would mean the Blues offering more than the reported £89m Manchester United paid to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus.
Griezmann, 25, has been linked with Chelsea during successive transfer windows.
It is claimed that Chelsea want him, and the Sunday Express also say Diego Costa could be offered to his former club as part of the deal.
Atletico would have to successfully appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport for re-signing Costa to be an option for them as the club is currently under a transfer ban.
