Some of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea ahead of Wednesday’s transfer deadline…
Chelsea could pip Tottenham to the signing of Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko, it has been claimed.
Following reports that Tottenham are pursuing a deal for the Frenchman, L’Equipe say Chelsea are also interested.
It is claimed that the Blues are willing to pay more than Spurs and that Chelsea have held talks with Sissoko’s representatives.
Meanwhile, the Daily Star have picked up on reports in the Portuguese media suggesting that Benfica fear Chelsea could make a pre-deadline move for defender Victor Lindelof.
The speculation is based on the fact that the 22-year-old Swede is one of a host of centre-backs Chelsea have been linked with in recent weeks.
Benfica believe the Blues could yet offer them £25m in a bid to land Lindelof before the deadline, it is claimed.
And Italian media reports are suggesting – again – that Juventus have agreed a deal in principle for Juan Cuadrado to return to them on loan from Chelsea.
