If statistics provided by fantasy football game Oulala are anything to go by, there can only be one winner of August’s Premier League Player of the Month – Eden Hazard.
The Chelsea star has been nominated along with Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia, Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling and Hull City’s Curtis Davies.
But the stats show Hazard was in league of his own last month as he rediscovered the form he showed before a poor campaign last season.
Harlesden man Sterling has been excellent under new boss Pep Guardiola, with two goals and two assists in his side’s opening three league games.
Hazard, though, has completed the most successful dribbles: 17, which is four more than any other Premier League player.
His shot accuracy, an impressive 58%, is better than any other top-flight player to have registered more than 10 shots so far this season.
Hazard’s 14 attempts at goal have been bettered only by Sterling’s City team’s Sergio Aguero and Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho.
And given the form he’s been in, it’s no surprise that Hazard have drawn more fouls (10) than any other player.
