Fiorentina linked with striker Ba

Fiorentina have expressed an interest in Demba Ba, the Daily Mail reports.

Arsenal were yesterday reported to be favourites to sign the Chelsea striker, who has also been linked with his former clubs Newcastle and West Ham.

The Mail also say Chelsea are close to finalising a £25m deal to bring former Blues midfielder Nemanja Matic back to Stamford Bridge from Benfica.

The Daily Mirror also say the fee will be £25m, while the Daily Telegraph suggest Chelsea will re-sign Matic for around £22m and the Daily Star say the fee is £21m.

And according to the Star, Chelsea’s Frank Lampard could return from injury for the game against Manchester United on Sunday.
