Fernandes still standing by Mark Hughes after QPR draw

QPR chairman Tony Fernandes again declared his support for manager Mark Hughes after Rangers’ winless start to the season continued with a draw at home to 10-man Everton.

Fernandes tweeted: “Good point. Lots of work to do. Everton are a top side. We were unlucky with some ref calls. Bring on Arsenal. Ill be there at the emirates. Lots and lots of positives.”

Responding to disgruntled fans, he added: “Stop wasting your time and energy on negative tweets. QPR needs time and stability. We have great sqaud great manager great ceo [chief executive Philip Beard]. Takes time and a bit of luck.”

Beard later tweeted: “I believe we have the right set up to get the wins and points we need to start climbing the table.”

  • fernandes,s backing of mark hughes is admirable in this win or be sacked era.i for one am willing to give the manager till the end of november.in that time if i was mark hughes i would get someone in a coaching capacity who knows about defending to teach our defenders and team as a whole how to defend.going forward i think we will be ok we just need some confidence and above all a little luck which we have had precious little this season.come on mark hughes, come on you rs. and lastly i would like to thank tony fernandes for giving us so much hope with the players he acquired for the club.i just hope his obvious ambition for the club comes to fruition.
