Fernandes stands by Hughes after latest QPR defeat
QPR chairman Tony Fernandes has again taken to Twitter to pledge his support for manager Mark Hughes in the wake of another defeat.
Rangers’ 3-2 loss at West Brom on Saturday left them bottom of the table and still without a league win this season.
It prompted more speculation about Hughes’ future – and led to a number of R’s fans calling on Fernandes to wield the axe.
But Fernandes replied: “For all QPR fans. Fans who analyse properly. I am not changing anything. And all shareholders agree.
“No team except the first game has outplayed us. We need a consistent 4 defenders not changing every week esp left and right back. Mark is the right man.”
He later added: “For all those calling for change this is the team that that outplayed spurs gave chelsea a damm good game and you want change. No way.”
Hughes has faced some criticism for his team selection at The Hawthorns, where Clint Hill was given a torrid time before being replaced by Armand Traore.
But Fernandes wrote: “Traorre is only fit to play 45 mins. I hope some of you are beginning to understand instead of making big statements.
“Hill is not a left back. He did his best. We had no choice.”

had no choice to play Hill left back? Could have played Onoura or gone three at the back, plenty of options
