Fernandes remains defiant following QPR’s defeat at Villa
QPR chairman Tony Fernandes remained defiant after the defeat against Aston Villa which left his club in even deeper trouble at the foot of the Premier League.
Rangers are seven points behind 17th-placed Villa with only eight matches left to play.
But Fernandes tweeted: “All QPR fans keep the faith. Body blow after we played so well for 45 mins. But there are enough games and points. We shareholders are there through good and bad.”
Chief executive Philip Beard wrote: “Just got home and still can’t understand how we lost. Brilliant away support as always. Tough to take but we must keep fighting.”
And defender Chris Samba tweeted: “Big disappointment don’t get how we end up losing that one don’t get it but believe we can still do it we fight till the end.”
