Fernandes hits back at ‘haters’ and promises QPR signings

Tony Fernandes has again been responding to critcism on Twitter amid frustration from many QPR fans over the club’s perceived lack of transfer activity.

With many Rangers supporters calling for more signings, co-chairman Fernandes has again insisted that the club is being run more efficiently, having massively overspent on players in recent years.

Fernandes also pledged that Rangers would bring in more players during this month’s transfer window.

  • Well said Tony H. TF and Co should stick to fantasy football. However, QPR will be playing Div1 football next season. Apparently next years shirt sponsorship is with Disney and we can all enjoy fantasy football together.

  • Just because some supporters don't like what is or is not happening don't make them haters but just passionate supporters all we want is for our football club to suceed and to get results and do well. Most of them work all week and when Saturday comes we just want I team to win or at least come a close second, so come on you R,ssss and do it for your true supporters

  • Tony Fernandez is doing much better than previous owners and I have supported QPR since 1958 and I think he has the best interests of the club at heart

  • QPR won 1 of the last 8 games of last season the worst form in the league. I appreciate we shouldn't be spending stupid money on players but hes already done that paying wages in the championship higher than most teams in the champions league. If he had not made so many promises on new stadiums, training grounds and taking the club from the premier league to the foot of the championship, maybe people would not be so critical. I think most are realistic and feel QPRs squad can at best finish half way with one or two players.

  • I think with briatore it all started badly, TF has tried very hard to make the club work, but you learn by your mistakes, even if we have a bad season and get relegated, It's part of being a QPR supporter, If we stay up, a good season, where would we be if the money men never came in the first place? would we have gone bankrupt? would we be called FULQPRHAM, All we can do as supporters is support, I believe TF does not want to lose money, so he is learning that sometimes, you don't need to speculate to accumulate, If TF goes I'll be the new Owner of QPRFC, because I could actually afford the club at the price of £10, might have to lend a £5 off my brother mind...

  • Sad to say the cllub is going nowhere and will be playing Div 1 football next year. TF and Co need to go. TF should stick to motor racing not football management.

  • I think as do a lot of us think your doing all right Tony. Shame on those dissenters, True supporters understand that prudence is necessary. Lets hope for a good season.

  • Perhaps like West Ham's twitter account (xwestham) we need to be kept in the loop a bit more as to what's going on because I'm sure holloway Sao do he wanted all the transfers done before pre season and as of which we have one freebe . Well done

  • I'm sorry Tony but all these problems started when you took ownership. First you wanted marquee signings that cost you and club a fortune
Then you sacked Neil Warnock and announced that appointment of Mark Hughes was on your head.
That never worked out but you never admitted responsibility.
Today you say, mistakes have been learnt and the club are doing it the right way.
But it's fair to say the club are in financial difficulty stemming back to my points made earlier
Time to be honest and tell us what financial fair play and state of QPR finances really are.
Only then will I start trusting the club again
