Fernandes hits back at Park’s doubters after QPR’s victory
Overjoyed chairman Tony Fernandes again responded to a rare QPR victory by hitting back at the club’s critics on Twitter.
This time he hailed the much maligned Ji-sung Park – his flagship summer signing – who set up Rangers’ winner for Jay Bothroyd in their potentially crucial 2-1 triumph at Southampton.
Fernandes tweeted: “Anyone who doubted Ji sung park. I never did. He is and always will be class. All of our team today played like lions.”
He also wrote: “Thank you to all the players who played like lions. Thank you @jayboothroyd for keep saying u can help and to my fifa parter @loicremy.”
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Rob Green, who came on as a substitute for the injured Julio Cesar, tweeted: “Wonderful support in numbers and voice, great to be back out there and delighted to get the three points.”
Defender Chris Samba declared: “Wanna say thanks to traveling fans the support was great we can still do it.”
And Stephane Mbia simply tweeted: “I trust in #qpr”
